Farrell Goes Further Ahead In Ahg Sprintcar Series Points
Posted Sunday, 4 January 2009 by Ken Brown
Winning the fifth annual Sprintcar Muster on January 3 at the Perth Motorplex has given pointscore leader Ryan Farrell an even bigger advantage over his rivals.

After combining his points for the heat races and the A Main, Farrell added 167 markers to his season score.

Second in the points - and second across the line - Ken Sartori increased his tally by 156.

Third placed (in both the pointscore and the race) Luch Monte scored 153 points.

The updated result - after round #8 - sees Farrell on 1239 - a lead of 73 over Sartori (1166) and 97 over Monte (1142).

The three leaders have cleared right out from the opposition with fourth placed Greg Hall back on 1018 points - some 124 points behind Monte.

But we are only around a third of the way through the season and there is still a long
way to go.

Next weekend (January 10) sees the AHG Sprintcar Series go to Margaret River for the first time - no home track advantage there.

The meeting will also mark the second (of four rounds) of the Hydraulink Southern Thunder Sprintcar Series.

See you there!!
