Reynolds Wins Wingless Sprint Round At The Motorplex

STATE champion Trevor Reynolds won the Our Car Autos Wingless Sprint round at the Auto Trader Fast Friday at the Perth Motorplex on Friday night (March 5).
Reynolds won the feature race from former state champion Marshall McDiarmid and former solo star Lee Redmond.
Redmond won the first race from Cory Gilpin and Darren Sutton while it was Kevin Clayden who claimed the second bout from Reynolds and Phil Moylan.
It was Reynolds in the third session from Sutton and Carl Pickersgill while McDiarmid helped his points chase with a win in the final heat from Ben Migro and Gilpin.
Another highlight of the meeting was the Australia versus New Zealand Junior Sedan Challenge which was won by the Kiwis 3417 points to 3100 points.
New Zealander Jamie Larsen was the dominant driving, winning the opening race and backing it up with wins in races five and six.
Local driver Johnny Terriaca also won three heat races and only finished one point behind Larsen for the night.
Fellow WA driver Jack Alfirevich was third overall thanks to five second places.
Jack Dolmans senior won the Top Gun Welding AMCA Nationals while other winners on the night were Nino Mendes (Production Sedans), BJ Hine (Fast Friday Junior Sedans), Rod Mussara (Super Six Sedans) and Trev Swadling (Street Stocks).
Anthony King was the leading driver in the first night of the WA Ltd Sprintcar title from Gavin Davis and Nathan Chant.
