Round #9 of the AHG Sprintcar Series will be staged at the Quit Bunbury Speedway tomorrow evening (Saturday December 28) and the points chase is well and truly on.

Last start winner Bradley Maiolo played his double point "Joker" card prior to the running of the annual Christmas Cup at the Perth Motorplex and his 300 point maximum score took him to the top of the tree.

The 21 year old Maiolo currently has a 98 point advantage over second placed Jason Pryde - but it is pretty tight from second down to seventh spot in the rankings.

In fact only 28 points separate second placed Pryde with the seventh ranked driver Cameron Gessner.

Twelve drivers have already played their "Joker" card so far this season with fourth placed Jamie Maiolo and Cameron Gessner in seventh spot still to do so.

Three drivers hovering just outside the Top 10 in Jason Kendrick (eleventh), Kye Scroop (twelfth) and Lee Nash (thirteenth) also have their "Joker" card up their sleeve as well.

Who will play their "Joker" at Bunbury?

The meeting will also be another round of the Battery All Types Southern Thunder Series.
